TonalEnergy is a very useful app that serves many functions, like a tuner, metronome, and all around great practice aid. I used it in college, my teachers used, and so should you.
CamScanner
CamScanner is a helpful app that can be used to turn pictures into to useful PDF's and documents. This app is especially good for music, as you can take a picture of it and have it on your phone or tablet, making it a lot harder for you to forget your music.
Audacity
Audacity is hands down one of the best tools a musician can have to better themself. It is a free recording software for both Windows and Mac. It is simple and easy to use. You can record multiple tracks, add some effects and do some editing. Recording myself using this program has helped me win auditions, prepare for multiple recitals, and has helped me become a better musician in general.
MuseScore
MuseScore is a free music notation software. With this program, you can write your own piece of music and here how it sounds instantly. This is also helpful for making copies of music if CamScanner is not an option. It is definitely worth playing around with. Who knows, you might find out that you love composing music.
Useful Websites for Musicians
This Youtube Playlist has many different recordings of live performances on it. This play list will be updated with music we are playing and other performances that I think are worth checking out. There is a lot to be gained from listening and watching live performances of music. Watch how the musicians act on stage, see how they differ from each other.

This Spotify Playlist is very similar to the Youtube playlist, but this one has studio performances on. This are also things that can be gained listening to studio music. Also like the Youtube playlist, this will be updated with the current pieces that we are playing along with other great pieces of music.

Lexcerpts is a website full of the most popular excerpts for the instruments in the orchestra. This website give excerpts for each instrument, as well as several recordings of that excerpt from many different orchestras. This is useful for students to study to help them become a better musician. This a helpful tool for students who are thinking about auditioning into any large ensemble. It is also just fun to watch the score while listening to the music.

MusicTheory.net is a website that helps with music theory skill. It can help with ear training, chord identification, key signatures. It also has lessons on it too if you want to further your music theory knowledge. Also, we might have a few quizzes on this website, so keep that in mind.

IMSLP is the one of the greatest things to happen to music. It is an online library of public domain music. There are hundreds of thousands of pieces and scores on that website. And the best part? It's completely free! Take advantage of this resource if you ever want to look up the score for a piece or look at your instruments part in a certain work. This might be useful for future music assignments you might have.
